Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Dual Edge XL different from the other Dual Edge blocks? +
It is wide, and it is built for two hands. The rest of the line is a one hand block with fixed depths. The XL carries a range of depths across its length instead: 20mm at the ends down to 10mm in the middle on one face, 24mm down to 15mm on the other. Flip it to change ranges.
Can I use it with two hands at once? +
That is what it is for. Two hands at once, one on each end, or one hand in the middle. Two handed effort is where this block earns its width.
How do I choose a depth? +
By feel and preference. The ends hold one uniform depth and the middle holds another, with graded sections running between them, so you have fixed depths to come back to and everything in between if you want it. Set your fingers where the depth feels right and keep them there for the set.
How do I load it? +
The same way you load the rest of the Dual Edge line. The difference is length: there is enough of it to sling the block over a foot and drive from there, which suits the two handed pulls this edge is built for.
Can I use the Dual Edge XL for rehab? +
No. The edge surface changes across its length, so the load is not predictable enough for rehab work, where the whole point is knowing exactly what you put through the finger. Use one of the fixed depth blocks instead, such as the Dual Edge Block or the Unlevel Edge Block.
