Before you pick
Angles and grades.
It is how far your board leans back from vertical. The number describes your wall, not the hold. The same hold gets meaner as that number climbs.
It is the hardest move we think you could set as a crux on that hold at that angle. It is not how the hold feels sitting on a shelf. We set on them and pull on them ourselves to decide.
Pick the steeper one. A hold that holds up at 55 degrees still works at 50. The other direction is not true.
Some bands are empty at some angles. Our easier sets live on shallower walls and the hardest ones on the steepest. Clear the level, look at the whole angle, and work from there.
