FDP Biased Rolling Edge Blocks

Full Crimp / Claw Grip Focused

Rolling Edge Platforms

FDP focused training platforms which will allows forced full crimp training. Friction is removed from the equation with smooth rolling ball bearings. Each roller has a comfortable texture to signal grip stimulus while not allowing skin to hang like a traditional edge.

FAQs

I am interested but, do not know where to start.

Think of this as a small, high‑quality finger session you plug into your existing week with your other dedicated finger training rather than something you do randomly every day.

We feel most can gain benefit from the 28RXE while only recommend the 22RXE Micro to those who have long standing training and are comfortable or have used edges around 10-15mm.

Between the 22RXE and the 28RXE, which one should I get?

There are some core differences between all 2 sized platforms.

  • 28RXE is great for most people as its a full pad comfortable edge platform and is good introduction into FDP training with its solid roller design and swappable rollers.
  • 22RXE Micro is a much smaller edge than the 28RXE and can be a benefit to those who need higher stimulus to the FDP. The roller will lie on about 3/4 to half of a pad. When you use the block it might feel like a 10mm edge in terms of skin pressure.

What is the best form for my grip when using a RXE?

The goal for form is to make sure your DIPs are engaged on the roller surface and your middle phalanx at 90 degrees to the platform backface.

It is helpful to think of sort of gripping your finger tips in a talon grip position.

Avoid hyper extending to get behind the roller. Form is everything and a little goes a long way.

How do I program this in to my training?

  • A common pattern is using 30 or 45 second holds keeping the weight much lower than your usual 1RM.
  • Integrate the Micros Elite into structured finger training with timed isometric holds.
  • We suggest avoiding 1RM training as the failure mode (rolling off the fingers) is not controllable.

How does it compare to hang boards and other no hang tools?

A rolling edge feels very different from traditional finger boarding and even from normal climbing, with more even and isolated loading of specific finger flexors. Not a replacement but, a complementary tool.

Is there supposed to be finger tip pressure on Micro Elite?

  • The intense fingertip pressure is expected on the Micro during power sessions the effective "feel" of this edge is similar to 10mm holds despite a typical 20mm pad contact.
  • With sensible progression and no clear technique error, users typically adapt as skin and tissues condition to the new loading.
  • You would experience the same thing if started hanging on micro edges.
